Home Schooling has been garnering more and more interest and support from many parents who are looking for educational alternatives that they can give to their kids. Home schooling is an educational method that makes use of the home as the primary educational base for children. The system involves children being taught or educated at home rather than at an institution such as public or private schools.

Home schooling has always been popular, and yet for a brief period in our history we didn’t hear a lot about it, today, all that has changed, as home schooling is definitely back in vogue. The No Child Left Behind Act instituted under the Bush Administration with the help of the former Senator Edward Kennedy was brought forth out of frustration, as kids were actually graduating High School, but could not read or write. This of course was unacceptable, and something had to be done.

Hands down, one of the biggest concerns about homeschooling is the fear that homeschool students are not learning effective social skills or are not being properly socialized. The presumption is, the best way to socialize your child is to do it through large gatherings of same-age peers, and without having those regular interactions, children will somehow be missing out on important learning experiences.
